Becky/Rebecca - me!

I’m a fun, friendly photographer passionate about animals, people and photography.

I learnt, all too quickly, that our four-legged friends grace this earth for far too short a time. My love for these amazing animals drives my passion to “paws the moment.

I promise to capture the special moments between you and your dogs/horses, in beautiful images, enabling you to treasure your memories for eternity.

I am blessed to share my life with my rescue border collie, Spice. We love exploring the countryside, going on day trips, and sharing walking holidays with my sister and her energetic spaniels.

It’s a true honour to share my life with these beautiful dogs, and all the special souls who came before them.

I’ve sadly lost four horses over the years, the remaining two herd members are now elderly, but are very good at mowing the grass and posing for photos!

Shadow

My heart dog

In March 2006, Shadow bounded into my family's lives. A little fluffy ball of chaos, he changed us forever in the best possible way.

Born a tough cookie, Shadow was a rescue pup found in the Welsh Hills. He never complained about anything and made us smile every day of his life.

Devastatingly, Shadow gained his angel wings in 2023, leaving tears in our eyes and an abyss in our hearts.

He was such a wonderful boy, laid-back, and a real people person. Fiercely independent, we shared much love, joy and too many adventures to mention!

Shadow was never the most patient of models. Yet, he still made me laugh a lot with his antics! I have numerous photos of him, mouth wide open mid-bark, not the most flattering shot!

I also have many beautiful photographs of Shadow, encapsulating memories, moments and the beauty of his soul. I cherish these with all my heart and strive to provide the same for all my customer's beloved animals.

This is why I’m the perfect person to “paws your moment

Spice

My soul dog

If Shadow is my heart, then Spice is my soul.

Destined to live with us, she is all about her family and a hugely loyal little dog.

Spice joined us in 2009, a little tornado, we had no idea what was about to hit us! She was a tricky character for many years but what this girl has taught me has been invaluable and I wouldn’t change any of it for the world. Once she learnt to trust me, our bond was unbreakable.

She has certainly lived up to her name, as a super sweet soul, but she can also be very Spicey!

Spice is the core reason I learnt photography. When Shadow had a professional shoot I knew Spice would never cope with a stranger staring down the camera lens at her. It would never be an option. So I bought my first DSLR and the journey began.

I always loved taking photos but when I started using my DSLR I was hooked and wanted to learn how to take better photos and get the most out of my new equipment. As you can see, Spice has turned out to be one awesome little model!

Now a golden oldie, Spice continues to inspire me to see the beauty in all animals and drives my passion to provide a safe, peaceful setting to “paws the moment for all our nervous and anxious dogs.

The Spaniels

Obsessive, mischievous and smart

Min is the eldest of the crew and can most often be found pretending no one exists except my sister!!

A fantastic model as long as their is a cookie in it for her!

Sweet, sensitive and busy

Kobi is the middle child! He loves nothing more than searching for a treasure carefully hidden by his humans.

He can get a little overwhelmed by the world but finds safety with his family.

Ditzy, fun loving and joyous

Indiana is the baby of the crew. She adores cuddles and attention, and she’ll do anything for a cookie!

Indie is a pleasure to spend time with and spreads joy wherever she goes.

The Herd

Suri

(1986 - 2018)

Suri was my first horse. He was another defining factor in my photography journey.

He was a jet-black, welsh cob. The only white markings were his two little white socks on his hind legs. All black animals are notoriously hard to photograph. Trust me, I have MANY photos of Suri looking like a black blob!

He was far from a horse that liked a fuss and being a typical Welsh section D, he loved to do his own thing, on his own terms. This meant I spent hours chasing him around the field!!

Suri sadly crossed the Rainbow Bridge at the grand old age of 33 in 2018. I miss this chap every day.

Charlie

(1997- 2019)

Talwern Express was Charlie’s posh name. I took him on as 10-year-old from the Welsh Hills and he spent the rest of his life with me. We had a lot of fun together.

Charlie would try his hoof at anything, we attempted dressage, show jumping and showing in our time together. Our favourite activities were fun rides and Sundays spent hacking around the countryside.

To those who loved and knew him, he was “Saint Charlie”, an absolute pleasure to spend time with. He was a gentleman. He loved a fuss. He loved going out and he loved living out 24/7 with his herd of 6 horses/ponies. He emerged as the most unlikely leader, he was far too polite to boss the others around and yet he found himself in charge!.
