About & my dogs
Behind the lens
Hi!
I’m the Rebecca of Rebecca Reed Photography - but you can call me Becky :-) A little bit about me - I’ll keep it short and sweet!
I was born and bred in Wiltshire, in the United Kingdom. I have always loved animals and I have enjoyed taking photo’s from a young age.
I have two rescued border collies who both have unique temperaments and characters and we love nothing more than exploring the countryside, going on day trips and sharing walking holidays along with my sister and her crazy spaniels. It’s a true honour to share my life with these beautiful dogs.
I also have three, now elderly horses who mow the grass and pose for photo’s! I grew up with lots of small fury animals and working at a riding stables for the longest time!
I am so excited to meet you all and your lovely animals, don’t be surprised if I bee line to your animal before I say hi to you, nothing makes my day more than having a cuddle with a dog or puppy! ( but only where the animal doesn’t mind strangers greeting them of course).

Shadow
Shadow is my heart dog.
He came to my family and changed us forever in the best possible way in March 2006 as a rescue pup found in the Welsh hills.
He is such a wonderful boy, he is laid back and is a real people person.
Shadow is on tough cookie, fiercely independent and never complains about anything. We have shared many adventures together.
Shadow isnt the most obliging model but it makes me laugh a lot. I have a lot of photos of Shads with his mouth wide open mid bark - not the most flattering shot.
Spice
If Shadow is my heart dog Spice is my soul. She was meant to be with us and joined the family in 2009. She was a tricky little character for many years but what this girl has taught me has been completely invaluable.
She is all about her family and super loyal.
She has certainly lived up to her name Spice- sweet but she can also be Spicey. Once she learnt to trust me in any situation our bond was unbreakable.
Spice is one of the very big reasons I wanted to learn how to photograph. When Shadow had a professional photoshoot I knew that Spice would never cope with a stranger staring down the camera lens at her. It would never be an option. So I bought my first DSLR and journey began. I always loved taking photos but when I started using the DSLR I was hooked and wanted learn how to use to take better photos. As you can see she has turned out to be one awesome little model.
Horses I have shared my life

Suri
Suri was my first horse and like Spice really helped me on my photography journey.
He was an black welsh cob. The only white markings were his two little white socks on his hind legs. All black animals are notoriously hard to photograph. Trust me I have MANY photos of Suri looking like a black blob.
Suri sadly crossed rainbow bridge at the grand old age of 33 in 2018. I miss this chap everyday. He was far from a horse liked a fuss, he liked to do his own thing on his own terms.
Charlie
Talwern Express was Charlie’s posh name. I took him on as 10 year old and he spent the rest of his life with me. We had a lot of fun together. I loved taking him out on fun rides. He was known to us as saint Charlie as he was an absolute pleasure to look after. He was a gentleman. He loved a fuss, he loved going out and he loved living out rather than being stabled with his herd. He the most unlikely herd leader of our little herd of 6 horses/ponies at the time, as he was too polite to run a herd. His best friend was our little rescue new forest pony, Fern.
